Joe's Diary: After the Wedding

There are lots of loose ends that need to be taken care of after the reception is over, so I thought I'd make a list so I don't forget anything.

1.    The hired suits need to be collected, checked and returned to the suppliers.

2.    The disposable cameras on all of the tables need to be collected and kept in a safe place until we get back from the honeymoon. If Mark does that he might get them developed whilst we're away.

3.    Our presents will need to be collected from the display table and kept safe.

4.    Pieces of the cake need to be sent to people who couldn't come on the day.

5.    Mark said he'll keep an eye on the house and water the plants. I must tell him about the tradition of the chief bridesmaid greeting the newlyweds upon their return home with a loaf of bead and some salt. I like the sound of that so I'll see if he's amenable to taking that tradition on for us (without making him think he's a chief bridesmaid in disguise of course!)

6.    Remember to draw up a will.
